Space-Time Insight has been named a finalist in the 13th Annual Platts Global Energy Awards, for the deployment of its geospatial and visual analytics applications within a state-of-the-art control center at the California Independent System Operator (ISO).
Space-Time Insight has been selected as a Finalist for Commercial Technology of the Year in the 11th Annual Platts Global Energy Awards. Established in 1999, the Platts Global Energy Awards has become the most recognized awards program in the industry and recognizes innovation, leadership, and superior performance in categories spanning the entire energy industry.
Capgemini Selects Space-Time Insight as Rapid Innovation Partner of the Year
Space-Time Insight quickly delivered geospatial composite prototypes for Capgemini customers participating in the Rapid Innovation program. Customers of Space-Time Insight realize benefits, such as accelerated ability to increase revenue and improved reliability, reduced operations and maintenance costs, improved customer service and the ability to prevent or proactively mitigate crisis situations.
SDGE’s deployment of Space-Time Insight in the Virtual Integrated Situational Awareness program won GIS Project of the Year. Emergency Operations Center representatives and executives view system and weather (wildfire, lightning, earthquake, wind) conditions relative to specific infrastructure on demand. This improves daily efficiency and effectiveness, enables proactive fire-preparedness efforts, and helps SDGE achieve its mission of providing safe and reliable energy.
Cal-ISO’s deployment of Space-Time Insight won Geospatial Technology Project of the Year. Space-Time Insight helps Cal-ISO daily ensure that electrical demand is met around-the-clock, that wholesale energy costs are reasonable, and during wildfire emergencies, that Cal-ISO can effectively manage power flows and request fire retardant air drops in critical locations to protect threatened transmission lines.
